PHC 2007 Preservation Awards
On November 4, 2007, Preservation Howard County's held its sixth annual "Preservationist of the Year" awards at Historic Waverly Mansion. This year's awards were presented to:

Enalee and Roland Bounds, the Senator James Clark, Jr. Lifetime Achievement Award
Enalee and Roland Bounds were given this award in recognition of their contribution and leadership over the years to the preservation of Ellicott City and Howard County history and heritage.

Bill Miller, Individual Award
Mr.Miller was recognized for his contribution and leadership in the preservation of the Woodlawn Slave Quarters.

Howard County Genealogical Society, Organization Award
This award recognizes Doris Edwards for her contribution and leadership in the computerization of Howard County marriage licenses.

Howard County Genealogical Society, Organization Award
This award recognizes Carolyn and Charles Denton for their contribution and leadership in the inventory of Howard County cemeteries headstone inscriptions.

Howard County Center of African American Culture, Organization Award
This award reconizes Wylene Burch for her contribution in the preservation of African American history, heritage and culture.

The Columbia Association, Organization Award
This award reconizes Maggie Brown for her contribution and leadership in the preservation of the Woodlawn Slave Quarters.
