John Wesley Frank, Senator James Clark, Jr. Lifetime Achievement Award
John Wesley Frank was selected to receive the Senator James Clark, Jr. Lifetime Achievement Award for preserving the history and heritage of agricultural and rural ways through his contributions and leadership in the Antique Farm Machinery Club and the founding of the Living Farm Heritage Museum in West Friendship.

Elkridge Assembly Rooms, Inc.
The Elkridge Assembly Rooms, Inc., was presented this award in recognition of the organization’s stewardship and preservation of the Elkridge Assembly Room, which was built after the Civil War as a place to reunite Union and Confederate supporters in the Lawyer’s Hill community. The organization has retained the spirit of the Assembly Room’s founding and opened it for neighborhood and community activities.

Friends of Patapsco Female Institute
The Friends of Patapsco Female Institute were recognized for the organization’s stewardship and preservation of the heritage of the Patapsco Female Institute, built in 1837 in Ellicott City. The organization’s Victorian teas, tours, and other special events have sustained the history of this once-elegant finishing school, which was one of the first to emphasize academic subjects for young women.

Clark’s Elioak Farm and Kimco Realty Corporation
Clark’s Elioak Farm of Ellicott City and Kimco Realty Corporation were recognized for their partnership in the relocation and restoring of the structures from the Enchanted Forest — a once-popular family destination. Kimco donated the structures and assisted in their restoration; Clark’s Elioak Farm moved the structures from their original site at an Ellicott City shopping center and restored them. Once visited by thousands of children and their families, the playful structures are now being enjoyed by a new generation.
