On September 19, 2011, Preservation Howard County held its tenth annual "Preservationist of the Year" awards at Historic Waverly Mansion. "These award recipients are recognized for their significant contributions to the preservation of Howard County’s history and heritage. Each recipient offers inspiration to all Howard County residents to appreciate and care for our local history and heritage,” said PHC President Fred Dorsey.
